Itinerary-
Day 01: Arrive DelhiLal Quila Delhi
Meet on arrival at Delhi Airport by our representative and transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast full day city tour of Old and New Delhi, visit Shanti Vana (the cremation sites of Jawaharlal Nehru, Raj Ghat (the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi), Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.
In the afternoon visit India Gate (War Memorial Arch), Qutub Minar (built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199), Humayun's Tomb and drive past President's House, Parliament House, Connaught Place shopping centre and Akshardham temple (a modern Hindu Temple). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Agra
After breakfast drive to Agra, en route stopover at Sikandra for photography. In Agra, our representative assists in your check in process at the hotel. Later visit the Agra Fort which has the Pearl Mosque, Diwan-e-am (the hall of public audience) and Diwan-e-Khas (the hall of private audience). Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 04: Agra - Gwalior
In the morning visit the famous Taj Mahal built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. This monument is made of white marble and it took 22 years to get constructed.
After breakfast drive to Gwalior. On arrival at Gwalior check-in at hotel. Later move out for the sightseeing of the Royal city of Gwalior and visit the huge fort of Gwalior and the splendid Palace of Maharaja of Gwalior. Also explore the busy bazaars of old Gwalior. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Gwalior - Khajuraho Khajuraho
After breakfast drive to Khajuraho. On arrival at Khajuraho check-in at hotel. Rest of the day free for your own activity. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06: Khajuraho - Orchha
After breakfast we take you for sightseeing tour of Khajuraho temples. The trip is to the Eastern Group of Khajuraho temples. Morning begins on a celestial note as we shall traverse you to the mystic galleries of the fascinating temples of Khajuraho. The bold artistic statement of erotic sculptures and the splendidly structured monuments will surely leave eternal imprints on your heart.
Afternoon drive to Orchha. On arrival at Orchha check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 07: Orchha - Bhopal
After breakfast sightseeing of Orchha - “Orchha" meaning "hidden" was the hallmark of Bundela dynasty. The origin of Bundelas goes back to the 11th century. It is believed that it was founded by a Rajput prince who offered himself in sacrifice to the mountain goddess, Vindhyavasini. The goddess stopped the prince from sacrificing and named him Bundela (meaning the one who offered blood). The Bundelas ruled over this area between the river Yamuna and Narmada. Later continue drive to Bhopal. On arrival at Bhopal check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08: Bhopal
After breakfast full day city tour of Bhopal, visiting Bharat Bhawan that showcases different art forms, a postcolonial museum called Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya. Also visit the Laxmi Narayan Temple (Birla Temple) that is built on the Arera Hills and has a museum inside the complex. The Taj-ul-Masjid, one of the largest mosques of India is the next stop. The mosque's construction was started by Shah Jahan Begum but was completed after her demise. Evening transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09: Bhopal - Sanchi / Bhimbetka - Bhopal Sanchi
After breakfast go for excursion to Sanchi & Bhimbetka. Evening transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Sanchi - Sanchi is an important Buddhist site that brings in visitors from all across the world. Its main attraction is the Sanchi Stupa that Commissioned by Emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. A fine specimen of Buddhist architecture, it has also been listed as a UNESCO Heritage site. Also visit the museum that throws light into Buddhism and how it evolved.
Bhimbetka lies around 46 kilometers to the south of Bhopal and bordered by the Vindhyas on the north. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bhimbetka is an archaeological treasure house. It is famous for its rock shelters, some of which also date back to around 9000 years. Around 500 of the caves have paintings that depict the life and culture of people belonging to that age. You will spend the night at the hotel in Bhopal.
Day 10: Bhopal - Ujjain - Indore
After breakfast drive to Indore, enroute visit the city of Ujjain. The ancient city of Ujjain is home to many temples. Visit some of the most famous temples like Bade Ganeshji Ka Mandir, Mahakaleshwar Temple, Chintamani Ganesh, Gopal Mandir, Kal Bhairava and Navagraha Mandir. Also visit the Veda Shala (observatory) and the Kaliadeh Palace. Later continue drive to Indore, On arrival at Indore check-in at hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 11: Indore - Mandu
After breakfast drive to Mandu - Once the fort capital of the Parmar rulers of Malwa, Mandu is home to some architectural marvels. Visit the attractions like Jahaz Mahal that was built by Ghiyas-ud-din. Also visit the Swing Palace, Hoshang Shah's Tomb, Ashrafi Mahal, Baz Bahadur's Palace and Roopmati's Pavilion. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12: Mandu - Aurangabad Aurangabad
After breakfast drive to Aurangabad. On arrival at Aurangabad check-in at hotel. Rest of the day free for your own activity. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 13: Aurangabad - Ajanta - Aurangabad
After breakfast go for full day excursion to Ajanta Caves - they are cut from the volcanic lavas of the Deccan trap in a steep crescent - shaped hillside in a forested ravine of the sahyadri hills, These caves are older than those at Ellora consisting of 24 monasteries and temples hewn out of solid rack. The wall paintings and frescoes of these caves are a wealth of colors, Proceed to Civic - cum - Cultural Complex, a gallery of local art and crafts and shopping complex. (Ajanta caves is closed on Monday). Later transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 14: Aurangabad - Ellora - Aurangabad
Morning after breakfast go for full day excursion to Ellora caves - The caves are over 2000 years old and consist of temples and monasteries hewn from rocks by Buddhist, Hindu and Jains monks and craftsmen, Later in the afternoon enjoy a half day city tour of Aurangabad, visiting the Mini Taj, built by Azam Shah in 1678, the Bibi Ka Maqbara is a son’s loving tribute to the memory of his mother, Begum Rabia Durrani, the queen of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Later drive back to Aurangabad and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 15: Aurangabad - Mumbai (By flight)
After breakfast transfer to Airport for Mumbai. Meet on arrival at Mumbai Airport and check-in at hotel.
Day 16: Mumbai Dept
After breakfast transfer to Airport for your onward destination.
